Alba holds workshop on crisis management

INDUSTRIAL NEWS

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), with the aim to boost its employees’ preparedness for its Line 6 Expansion Project, organised a one-day workshop titled ‘Crisis Management: Line 5 Recovery Story’ recently.

Held for non-management employees, this workshop was presented by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray who elaborated on the necessary skills and knowledge required to handle emergencies at the plant.

He modelled the workshop based on Alba’s Line 5 Recovery Story and shared the key factors behind Alba’s success during this crisis, namely resilience, direct communication, turning challenges into opportunities as well as setting big goals.

During his presentation, Murray said: “I am proud and thankful to our employees who not only overcame the crisis, but worked hard and safely to set a new industry benchmark for speed of recovery. This workshop also helped those outside the crisis to learn valuable lessons in terms of resilience and teamwork as well as prepare them to achieve excellence during the delivery of Line 6.”

The workshop also featured a SWOT analysis of the Line 5 Recovery process and a testimonial video of the teams who worked on it.

The ‘Crisis Management: Line 5 Recovery Story’ will be delivered to a second batch of non-management employees on November 16 at the Alba Club. – TradeArabia News Service
