Around 80 per cent of the work has been completed on the Muqaba Sewerage Network Project in the northern governorate of Bahrain and it is on track for completion by the fourth quarter of this year.
The project aims to connect 41 houses and real estates in Block 517 to the network, said a senior official from the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning.
So far, 10 units and real states have been connected to the network, out of a total of 41 units and real estates, revealed Nazha Abu Hindi, the sanitary engineering planning and projects director at the ministry.
"We have completed the extension 670-m-long main connections, and 165-m-long sub-connections out of a total of 400 m," explained Hindi.
Also, 53 inspection chambers have been constructed out of 74 chambers, he added.
The BD185,000 ($487,022) project, being implemented by Abdul Karim Al Jahrami Contracting, is part of other sanitary works planned for the Northern Governorate, said the statement from the ministry.
These include two projects in the northern governorate - the main sewerage line for sewerage works related to West Budaiya Housing Projects (Phase 2) and Sadad Sewerage Network Project (Phase 2), it added.-TradeArabia News Service
