As many as 45 companies from Bahrain are expected to take part in the Kingdom's pavilion at the Gitex Technology Week exhibition in Dubai from October 8 to 12, a report said.
As part of the Bahraini participation in Gitex, Tamkeen and Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) held a meeting with the exhibitors that will be present at this year’s Bahrain Pavilion at the exhibition, said a Bahrain News Agency report.
The meeting reviewed the latest arrangements and discussed how to achieve the best results for the ICT sector in Bahrain, the report said.
The participation by Bahrain companies, up nearly 20 per cent from the previous year, will help them keep abreast of global developments in the ICT sector and enhancing the presence of Bahrain’s IT industry in regional forums, increasing its contribution to national output, it said.
Tamkeen's continued support of Bahrain's participation in Gitex stems from its keenness to promote Bahrain’s Information Communication Technology sector, which plays a significant role in raising the productivity and competitive capacity of private sector institutions, it added.
