The development and beautification work was going as per schedule at the Al Farouk Intersection in Manama with 90,000 sq m area already covered, reported BNA, citing a senior minister.

The ministry, based on its strategy emanating from the Government Action Plan has developed an integrated action plan to increase the green areas and afforestation projects and change the landscape in the main streets and intersections in various regions of Bahrain, remarked Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf.

The plan includes planting trees that contribute to improving the environment, he stated during a visit to the intersection alongside senior ministry officials.

The project is in line with the comprehensive development of Al Farouk Intersection by expanding its green areas, preserving the aesthetics of public roads and enhancing the geometric shapes that add beauty to the site, and boost its importance in the center of the capital and with links to the vivacious Seef area, Khalaf said.
