Over 500 experts for Bahrain’s ICA Conference

Over 500 regional and International delegates will create a large networking platform for building contacts and share knowledge and experience at the upcoming Interarab Cambist Association (ICA) Conference in Bahrain.

Under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the Bahrain Financial Markets Association (ACI) will organise the 44th edition of the conference at the Bahrain Ritz Carlton Hotel on October 24 and 25.

The ICA Conference will be held in cooperation with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) under the slogan ‘Reshaping Finance in a Changing Economy’. The conference will identify the most important economic and financial developments that have a direct impact on banking activities.

The attendees comprise of senior government officials, private economic decision makers, financial and banking sector leaders, treasury managers, bank department managers, investment bankers, risk management and asset wealth managers, senior economists and dealers representing banks and other financial institutions.

Previous speakers at the ICA Conference include former US President Bill Clinton, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State James Baker and former US Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan among others.

The two-day conference will focus on topics related to the economy and financial industry including the economic model in the GCC, a review of financial services through financial technology (FinTech), the health of the global economy a decade after the economic crisis and the past commitment to globalization and economic openness.

Other panel discussions covered will include insights into how the initial successes in debt reduction have led to increased indebtedness in a monetary policy environment which remains heavily dependent on extremely low interest rates, as well as the future of energy in the Middle East in light of the volatility of oil prices.

An exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the 44th ICA Conference and will feature a number of local, regional and international institutions, companies and banks participating in the event to showcase their latest banking products and financial initiatives, with local and international media coverage. – TradeArabia News Service
