Bahraini developer Diyar Al Muharraq has achieved significant progress at its Southern Island project with infrastructure work being implemented in line with the construction schedule.

Some key updates on the project include:

*Completion of the main road on Diyar Al Muharraq’s Southern Island and the start of the road landscaping, scheduled to be ready by September 2019.

*Work on the water distribution station which holds a capacity of 11 million gallons of treated water to be used for landscaping, is now 50% completed; while ongoing works are being carried out on the secondary roads in Al Noor and Al Sherooq, in line with the approved schedule put in place for the Jeewan project.

*Also, six primary 66kV substations along with 159 substations of 11kV are presently operational, and 100% fiber optic containment on all existing roads has been completed.

Diyar Al Muharraq has also announced the completion of secondary infrastructure works on its key projects: Deerat Al Oyoun, Sarat, Al Baraha Souq, Al Qamra and Al Bareh.

Located in the heart of Diyar Al Muharraq, the Deerat Al Oyoun has been designed to be the ideal location for living in a residential complex characterised by a comfortable social atmosphere at convenient prices, with easy access to facilities, shops and schools.

The villas at the Al Noor and Al Sherooq projects have been designed in a traditional style representing the Bahraini family while reflecting modern standards.

These neighbourhoods demonstrate the traditional aspects of Muharraq combined with Eastern heritage designs, stated the Bahraini developer.

Infrastructure work on the Phase Two of Al Bareh has commenced and will be completed in 2020.

The vibrant residential community, Sarat, is strategically located near the entrance of Diyar Al Muharraq and is surrounded by the largest green park in a sophisticated and quiet residential area, it added.

CEO Dr Maher Al Shaer said: "We are very pleased with the steady progress being made on Diyar Al Muharraq’s master plan and we appreciate the efforts, hard work and diligence of all those who are contributing to meeting the infrastructure schedules, and setting the bar for our real estate industry internationally."

"We are very keen to maintain transparency on Diyar’s progress and will continue to release latest updates on our project in a timely manner," stated Al Shaer.

Diyar Al Muharraq is the largest integrated residential community in Bahrain, featuring a refined lifestyle with diverse amenities and a variety of accommodation options.

This is in addition to Diyar Al Muharraq’s unique mix of residential, commercial and leisure facilities that complement the modern and integrated city model.-TradeArabia News Service
