Alba holds 'Thanks for Feedback' workshop

INDUSTRIAL NEWS

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Bahrain-based aluminium smelter, recently held a one-day workshop titled “Thanks for the Feedback” for its executives, directors, and managers at the Alba SHE Hall.

Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray presented the workshop, based on the best-seller book ‘Thanks for the Feedback’ by Sheila Heen and Douglas Stone, and highlighted the three kinds of feedback companies must utilise to be effective: evaluation, coaching and appreciation, said a statement.

This workshop was customised to teach key takeaways that address Alba’s challenges as well as promote the culture of feedback and a growth mind-set, it said.

Murray said: “Pushing ourselves out of a fixed mind-set is key to embrace challenges ahead. And the only way to adopt a growth mind-set is to accept feedback positively.”

“Workshops such as these play an important role in enabling our future leaders to accept feedback in order to grow especially with our company’s transformation into the world’s largest aluminium smelter,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
