Bahraini Housing Ministry officials have begun the distribution of 487 housing units to the beneficiaries under the East Hidd Town project, said a report.

The move comes following the order issued by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, during the Government Forum 2018 to distribute 5,000 housing units, reported BNA.

Housing Ministry will speed up the implementation process at the East Hidd Town Project, like the other five towns, which are being constructed at the same time, stated the report citing the Housing Minister Bassim bin Yacoub Al Hamar.

The delivery of these homes will continue until the middle of next week and comes following the successful handing over of a total of 496 homes under the Phase One of the project.

"The East Hidd Town project is part of our efforts to implement the Government Action Plan's programme to build 25,000 units, emanating from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives to construct 40,000 housing projects," remarked Al Hamar.

The minister affirmed that the acceleration of the housing projects and the distribution process are part of the implementation of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and reflect the tremendous efforts exerted for the sake of achieving  the visions of HM the King, and implementing the directives of the government, led by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to speed up meeting housing demands, said the BNA report.

Al Hamar pointed out that the Housing Ministry will implement more projects in partnership with the private sector in order to provide more housing units to the citizens, it added.
